Paul Hutchings started working initially in the audio-visual sector which in turn led to video and film lighting camerawork. From there, Paul developed an interest in editing which inspired to him to launch the first wholly Avid-based post-production facility, P3 Post. P3 pioneered the use of Avid for program finishing and became an important beta site for Avid, helping test Symphony systems and then the Unity shared storage products among others. Paul worked with GAS initially as a client, with GAS carrying out the system design, installation and cabling across several P3 sites. Subsequently, Paul started working with Simon to enable GAS to offer Avid sales and support, and used his shared storage experience to develop a reseller partnership with EditShare to offer shared storage, MAM and archive systems. Paul’s specialisms remain Avid and Apple support, shared storage systems and developing/supporting collaborative workflows for clients.
